Marion "Micky" D. Giroux

Marion "Micky" D. Giroux, passed away peacefully in the morning of March 4, 2019 at the age of 86, in the presence of her loving family. Marion was born December 18, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob", whom she met at the age of 17 and knew he was the one after their first blind date. Marion and Bob were married for fifty-five years and their children were born in Chicago before Bob moved the family to Columbus in 1967, for his career with White Castle.

Family was most important to Marion and is survived by her daughter, Gwen, sons Bob (Susan), John (Anna), Scott (Jill) and Roger (Robin).

Marion's greatest joy came from her grandchildren Brian, Jenny, Sherrie, Brooke, Scott, Laura, Scotty, Christina, Paige and Amanda and her wonderful great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

Marion was a dedicated homemaker and extraordinary cook who enjoyed preparing remarkable meals for her family on all occasions. She loved watching food channels and created her own set of recipes for her family to share and pass down.

In her last days, Marion said she "had a great 86 years and that she wanted everyone to be happy and good to each other."

Visitation will be held at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, OH 43230 on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 5pm-7pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30am on March 8, 2019 at Saint Matthew The Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Road, Gahanna, OH 43230.

All are invited to a luncheon at St Matthew, following a brief gravesite prayer at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
