

Marion Eileen (Offenburger) Schilling, age 97, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at home. She was born on May 9, 1920 in Grove City, OH to the late John and Elsa (Hopfe) Offenburger. She was a graduate of Grove City High School Class of 1938. Marion was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Marion truly lived one of her favorite Bible Chapters, 1 Corinthians 13. Faith, Hope, and Love. She taught her family that Faith was most important in farming. You relied on God to know your needs, Hope for the future, and the Blessings He would provide. She lived her life showing unconditional Love to her family. Marion was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. A Charter Member of the Cowboys Camping Group. In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Schilling and sister, Lillian Kimmins. She is survived by her brother, Paul (Andrea) Offenburger; son, Larry (Sharon) Schilling; daughter, Charlotte (James) Moore; grandchildren, Dr. Christinna (Schilling) and Casey Murphy, Jr., Jeff Schilling, and Brian Gillespie; step-grandchildren, Elaine (Dale) Stead and James (Ramona) Moore II; step-great grandchildren, Alex (Alli) Stead, Ryan Stead, Andy Stead, and Kennedy Moore. Family will receive friends 2-7 pm Thursday at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway. Funeral service will be held 10 am Friday, August 18, 2017 with calling hours starting at 9:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 55 Pasadena Ave. Columbus, OH 43228. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway. Pastor Bill McKee officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice or to St. Paul Lutheran Church in her memory.
