Marjorie Ivadell Harris

Marjorie "Marge" I. Harris, age 81, passed away peacefully at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio on April 26, 2014. She was born in Beaverville, Illinois to the late Isaac J. Arseneau and Aldea A. Arseneau, on April 28, 1932. She graduated high school from the Holy Family Academy in Beaverville in 1950.

A caring mother and homemaker, Marge was an excellent cook and caretaker. She loved her husband and family, and she loved her coffee every morning. She enjoyed gardening, vacationing at the beach, shopping, and caring for her flowers. She took great pride in having the prettiest flower baskets in the neighborhood hanging from hooks on her front porch. A life-long fan always ready to watch a Cubs game, Marge moved to Columbus in 1969 where along with her husband Floyd, raised their 4 children. She was a member at St. Anthony's Parish on the north side of Columbus before moving to Florida in her later years.

Marge was preceded in death by her loving husband, Floyd L. Harris. She was also preceded in death by her son Scott I. Harris and her brothers Randall Arseneau, Arnold "Banjo" Arseneau, and sister Marie Gibson. Marge is survived by sisters Norma Cyr (Bill), Eula Goselin, Vi Garrett, and brother Pete Arseneau (Diane) and children Debbie Taylor (Sue), Tom Harris (Jodi), and Linda Baird (Mike). She is also survived by five grandchildren, Zachary Harris (Christine), Jacob Harris, Brady Harris, Ali Baird, and Jack Baird, and one great grandchild, Katelynn Harris.

Family will welcome friends on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH 43229. A Memorial Mass will be held the following day on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 313 N. State Street, Westerville, Ohio and at burial site of Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N High Street, Lewis Center, OH 43035.
