

Marjorie Caroline (Spencer) Hartley, born on February 11, 1926 in Quaker City, Ohio, passed into Heaven and was met by angels on Saturday, October 20, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Gertrude Spencer; and husband, Ruskin J. Hartley. Beloved mother of Russ (Marilyn), Mary Ann, Mike, and Shelby Hartley; grandmother to R.J. (Andi) and Lauren Hartley; and great grandmother to Grey and Finn Hartley. Mom is also survived by nieces, Peggy (Hal) Ringer, Jeannie High, Pam (Greg) Litchfield, and Debbie Spencer; special nephew, Tim Messerschmidt; nephews, Fred, Jim, John, and Terry Messerschmidt, and Tom and John (Twana) Mehaffey; sister in-laws, Frances Mehaffey, and Helen Spencer; cousin, Ethel Jean Thom; special friends, Joan Zemolong and Tim Thorpe; her “K-Mart 5” buddies, Delores Boulderbergs, Nancy Dexter, and Joan Novak; and many others who loved and adored her. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 East Livingston Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43232 where funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Columbus Ohio. Special thanks to the NCR Hospice Group for their care.
