

Marjorie Adelaide Leeman, age 78, of Canal Winchester passed away on Monday, November 16, 2009 at Winchester Place. Marjorie was born on June 13, 1931 in Bath, Maine to the late Harold and Maude Leeman. She is preceded in death by her sister, Martha Lermond and niece, Nancy Edgar. Marjorie is survived by her nephews, Mike Edgar and Kent Lermond along with brother-in-law, Charlie Lermond. Marjorie graduated from Morse High School in Bath, Maine in 1947. She went on to attend the University of Maine from 1949-1950. She then enlisted in the USAF (WAF) and served from 1951-1955. Marjorie attained her private pilot’s license in 1957. After her service she attended night classes and graduated from New Hampshire College in 1972 with Bachelor of Science in Business Management, magna cum laude. In 1995 Marjorie retired after 30 years of civil service as a computer programmer for the USAF. She is a former member of Mensa. For several years after retirement Marjorie was an assistant instructor for dog Obedience at Columbus All-Breed Training Club. Funeral services for Marjorie will be on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 10am at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Columbus, Ohio 43230. Chaplain Lou Basso officiating.
