

Mark Joseph Martensen, age 57, passed away at his home on Friday, March 23, 2012. He was born in Columbus on August 3, 1954, and graduated from Bishop Ready High School. Mark attended The Ohio State University, and he worked for the Kroger Distribution Center for 35 years. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He loved physical activities, especially golf, jogging, and biking. He was a great cook and an avid reader, and he loved to travel and spend time at his trailer in St. Marys, Ohio. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Lori, formerly of St. Marys, Ohio, whom he married on August 24, 2002; daughters, Lisa Martensen and Kelly (Jeremy) Luck; mother, Joan Martensen; granddaughters, Madison and Aubrey; brothers, Drew (Linda), Hank (Pam), and Bradley (Kathy) Martensen; sister, Cynthia Aiello; parents-in-law, Tom and Joyce Scott; siblings-in-law, Greg, Jeff (Christi), and Mark (Erin) Scott, and Lisa (Andrew) Roettger; numerous nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends, especially Steve Richards who was like a brother to Mark. He was preceded in death by his father, Hank Martensen. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2012, at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 noon on Tuesday at St. Pius X, 1051 Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg. Msgr. David Funk, Celebrant.
