Marlo Bridges Tannous, age 60, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 24, 1962, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late A. Wilford Bridges, Jr. and Barbara (Morse) Bridges.
Marlo graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1984 and earned a law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1987. She spent most of her career working as an attorney for the State of Ohio, where she was the Chief Legal Counsel for the Ohio Department of Development and, most recently, the Ohio Housing Finance Agency until she retired in December 2022. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and involved in many other charitable and community organizations, including the Wellington School. Marlo loved to travel, knit, be outdoors, and rarely missed an Ohio State football game. Most importantly, Marlo loved spending time with her family and being a mother.
Marlo will be greatly missed by her husband, Bob; children, Mallory and Alex; siblings, Col. Richard Bridges (Sabine) and Warren Bridges (Chandra); late father-in-law, Jerry Tannous; mother-in-law, Nadia Tannous; sister-in-law, Carol Stewart (Jeff); beloved dogs, Oliver and Theo; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 2151 Dorset Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221.
