

He is preceded in death by parents; Walter F. Scott and Virginia Duncan and brother, Roderick D. Scott. Survived by loving wife of 61 years, Patricia June Keller, married on September 20, 1953. His love of family was beyond words. Son, Brian (Jyl) Scott, daughter, Marcie (Jeff) Clark; grandchildren, Ryan (Laura) Scott, Alyssa (Brian) Brogan, Alex, Patrick (Lauren) and Ben Scott, Dael, Danon and Darby Clark; great-grandchildren, Lyndi and Lincoln Brogan and Madi Scott; brother, Richard A. (Faithe) Scott; sister, Sandra (Steve) Snyder; sister-in-law, Marijo Torrence; nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Member of Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Inductee of the North High Polar Bear Hall of Fame, the Old North Hi Club, and a life member of the OEA. He was a blood and apheresis donor through the American Red Cross. 1951 graduate of North H.S. and graduate of The Ohio State University. Tuck spent his entire professional life as a teacher with Columbus City Schools.
He started his teaching career at Roosevelt Jr. High, where he also served as a teacher probation officer. He then became the Activities Coordinator at North High. After North closed, he followed his students to Linden McKinley H.S. where, he retired in 1988. At age 17, Marshal joined the Army Air Corps. Which became the United States Air Force. He received the WWII Victory Medal. After his enlistment was completed, he joined his family in Ohio where he finished high school. He then joined the Air National Guard of Ohio. While attending OSU, he was recalled to active duty for the Korean War. He received both the Korean Service and the United Nations Service Medals.
He was a beloved teacher, assistant track coach, mentor, cherished neighbor and friend. He had a great love of adventure. He loved horses, gardening and farming, music and dancing, camping, canoeing and scouting. He served as an Assistant Scout Master of Troop 433 and was a member of The Order of the Arrow. He also loved his monthly poker games with his Phi Kap brothers, neighborhood gatherings, and lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
He was an honored member of Riverside United Methodist Church, where he served as a Youth volunteer, usher, counter, handyman carpenter and great supporter of the Praise and Worship music team. Marshal truly loved life and was a diligent servant to his loving Savior.
Visitation will be from 1:30-3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Riverside United Methodist Church, 2701 Zollinger Rd., Upper Arlington, OH 43221. Celebration of Life Service will directly follow, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
