Martha Ann Dore'

Marty Dore' died on July 27, 2018, at National Church Residences, Mill Run, Hilliard, Ohio. Born on November 8, 1943 in Ashville, Ohio, she was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Dore'. She is survived by her brother, William A. (Carol) Dore'; nephew, David W. (Alisha) Dore'; niece, Debra Kay (Gary M.) Gillis; great nephews, Ty Lane and Gabriel Logan Dore', and Noah Bradyn Gillis; great niece, Emma Paige Gillis; first cousins, Marilyn B. Pollitt, Bob (Barb) Bowers, Judy (Al) Nicely, Mary Jo (Phil) Py; special friends, Sue Richards and Allen Willis; and numerous cousins and friends. Marty grew up in Ashville and graduated from Ashville-Harrison High School in 1961. She attended Capital University and sang in the Chapel Choir and later in the Alumni Chapel Choral Union. Active in Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, she was a member of its senior choir, altar guild, secretary to the church council, and a communion server coordinator. She worked 41 years as a legal secretary, most notably for Federal District Court Judge Robert M. Duncan, Sixth Circuit Court Judge Alan E. Norris, and Federal Magistrate Mark R. Abel. A memorial service will be held at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, 2300 Lytham Road, at 2:30 p.m., with Pastor Buff Delcamp officiating on Saturday, August 4. Relatives will meet friends one hour before and after the service. Light refreshments will be served. A private burial will be at Reber Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tranquility Garden, National Church Residences-Mill Run, 3550 Fishinger Blvd., Hilliard, Ohio 43026. Family has entrusted SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL with final arrangements.
