

Martin Finta III, age 87, passed away Thursday, March 9 at the James Cancer Hospital. Marty attended South High School and was an Army veteran of the Korean War, he worked at the Belmont Casket Co, owned Finta's Carry Out at Whittier and Mohawk in German Village, and retired from Waste Management, member of Southgate F and AM Potter Lodge No. 782 and a 58 year member of the American Legion Post #144. He loved boating, reading western novels, golf cart riding at Heron Bay and giving treats to all the dogs in the neighborhood, most of all, Marty loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Marty is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Velma (Szanyo) Finta II. He is survived by his loving wife, Patty of 63 wonderful years; children, Marty (Dana) Finta IV, Teresa (Ray) Martino, Tami Harcrow; grandchildren, Joshua (Heather) McClain, Nikki (Stephan) Eslich, Michael (Wendy) Kimmle, Marty Finta V (Beth), Joey Finta (Brittany), Matthew McClellan, Anthony Martino (Eva), Gabe Finta; great grandchildren, Emma, Madeline, Molly, Lucy, Lilly, Christian, Savannah, Lily, Sydni, and Seth; cousins Kathy (Jim) Ross, Claire (Les) Conkey, and many other family and friends. Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 2 p.m. until time of his Celebration of Life at 4p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., with Andrew Hoover officiating.
