Marvin R. Johnston

Marvin R. Johnston, age 95, of Dublin, and formerly, Marion, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2015, at Friendship Village of Dublin, where he and his wife, Frances, have resided for 10 years. He was a gentle man who instilled faith, hope and love in his family, and they will miss him dearly. The family includes his loving wife of 72 years, Frances S. (Stevens) Johnston; his son, Steve (Michele) Johnston; three grand-daughters: Allison (Bo) Cordle, Nancy (Jonathan) Willis, and Ellen (Ian) Rodenberger; and his doted upon great grandchildren, Lola Joy Rodenberger and Thomas Robert Willis. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to St. Patrick's Episcopal Church, 7121 Muirfield Drive, Dublin, OH 43017, or St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 197 East Center Street, Marion, OH, 43302. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 24th, 11:00 a.m. at St.Patrick's Episcopal Church in Dublin. Interment will occur at a later time. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Friendship Village Health Center and Senior Independence Hospice.
