Mary Elizabeth Connolly

Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Connolly, age 74, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016. She was born March 16, 1942 in Nova Scotia, Canada to the late Lawrence and Pauline (LeBlanc) DeViller. She was a very giving woman and was never shy about helping those around her. She was a longtime secretary for Columbus City Schools and a volunteer for numerous organizations. She enjoyed knitting, playing bingo, and watching Disney movies with her great grandchildren. In addition to her birth parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Michael Connolly and her parents who raised her, George and Mamie Muise. Liz is survived by sons, Sean Connolly and Paul (Barb) McDonald; daughter, Rose (Anthony) Crowell; grandchildren, Patrick Burrell, Margaret (Cameron) Groves, Kari (John) Turner, Emily McDonald, Evan Crowell, Collette Crowell, and Kate Connolly; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Judy Steadman; brother, Larry (Joan) DeViller; close cousin, Charles (Vivian) LeBlanc; and many other relatives and close friends. Liz's memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Stewart Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 60 South Cypress Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43222.
