Mary Ellen Crabtree

Mary Ellen "Mubby" Crabtree, 73, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, Wednesday, January 16, 2019. She was born March 8, 1945 in Red Jacket, West Virginia to the late Herman and Daisy (Edwards) Dudley. She retired from Nationwide Insurance with 45 years of service. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her younger years, she was an avid bowler. She frequently went to the YMCA to work out. She also enjoyed spending time outside and caring for her flowers in her garden. Mubby was a great cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Lee Crabtree, Sr. and siblings, Rowena, Connie, Larry, Allen, Ermil, Alvin, Carolyn, Donald, Billy Jean, Rebecca, and Haus. Mary Ellen is survived by her children, Sherrie (Gina Howard) Crabtree, Lee Roy Crabtree, Jr., and Carl (Dawn) Crabtree; grandchildren, Amanda, Stacey, Michael, Chris, Brittany, Keith, Lyndsay, Haylee, Matthew, and Lance; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marcella-Dukie (Joe), Gay, Nella (Sheridan), David (Roxanne), Elaine (Ed), Mavis, and Lillian; special niece, Anita; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 11-1 PM Monday at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where the funeral service will follow at 1 PM. Interment Concord Cemetery.
