Mary Jo Devaney

Mary Jo Devaney, age 86, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Jan. 17, 2023. She was born on March 19, 1936 to the late Fred and Rachel (Downer) Holmes. Mary Jo joins in death her parents; son Kenneth Devaney; siblings Lola Margaret, Elizabeth Ann, Katherine Irene and David Oscar. She leaves behind her children Renae Durham, Mindy Legg and Chuck Morrison; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren. Mary Jo was avid collector of brooch pins. This love of collecting brooch pins has been a multigenerational love as Mary Jo’s mother started the collection and now it has now been passed down to Mary Jo’s children and grandchildren. She also loved to shop. Visitation will be held on Friday Jan. 27, 2023 from 1PM to 2PM at the Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Schoedinger – Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204 where the funeral service will start at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary Jo’s name to the Shriners of Ohio, 1801 Gateway Cir, Grove City, OH 43123.
