Mary June Diltz

Mary June Diltz, 84, of Circleville, passed away Friday, February 4, 2011 at Berger Hospital. She was born May 29, 1926 in Williamsport, the daughter of Harry and Lena (Higman) Puffinbarger. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman “Moe” Diltz; brothers, Harry “Booge” Puffinbarger, Jr. and Bob Puffinbarger; and son-in-law, Bob “Barney” Barnhart. June was a great cook and an avid reader. She loved gardening, knitting, crocheting, watching old movies and was an accomplished pianist. She is survived by her children, Bob (Christy) Diltz, Anna Barnhart and Tom (Pauline Clark) Diltz, all of Circleville; grandchildren, Jooli (Ronnie) Oesterholt, Rob (Sherry) Diltz, Amy (James) McNeal, Luke, Joe, Sam and Tom Barnhart, Shane (Lacey Reedy) Stevens, Randy Stevens and Shane (Candy) Diltz; several great-grandchildren; nephew, Bill (Georgeann) Puffinbarger; niece, Nancy (Sam) Weller; special friend, Mary Welch of Coshocton; and her canine companion, Baxter. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating.
