Mary Davis Ernst

Mary Davis Ernst, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Outlook Manor at the age of 91. Born November 19, 1921 in Relief, Kentucky, to the late Harry and Nora Dorton. A faithful member of Worthington Christian Church. She was also a member of the Clintonville Women’s Club. Mary and her first husband Waldo, owned and operated Waldo Davis Insurance Company. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be deeply missed by her children: daughter Janie (Robert) Dehn, sons James (Pamila) Davis and Bill (Jackie) Davis; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Sue (Tom) Archibald; sister-in-law Marjean Dorton; many nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her first husband Waldo Davis and second husband Leo Ernst; son Dr. Robert and Marcy Davis; brothers Ellis and Mae Dorton, William Dorton; and sister Ruby Dorton Gossett. Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 26, 2013 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington 43085, where her Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. A private interment will be held at Union Cemetery.
