

Mary Lou Grabill, 88, of Circleville, passed away Pumpkin Show Friday, October 23, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 22, 1927 in Circleville, the daughter of Hobart David and Goldie Marie (Kirlin) Amann. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benjamin “Benny” in 1997; daughter, Betty Smith; sisters, Dorothy Sowers and Ginny Hiles; and brothers, Junior and Leland Amann.
Mary Lou was a graduate of Jackson Twp. High School. She was outgoing and opinionated. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, canning, Pumpkin Show, food and cleaning to the point that it is said you could eat off her floors. Mary Lou is survived by her children, Ben Grabill, John (Cindy) Grabill, Bonnie (Bob) Shuff and Carolyn (Adam) Webb; grandchildren, Heidi, Lori, Susie, Brian, David, Rachel, Amber and Christopher; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joy (Bob) Morgan, Susie Stoker and June (Bill) Taylor; brothers, Bill (Ruth) Amann and Gary Amann; and numerous nieces and nephews.
No services were held, according to Mary Lou’s wishes. Arrangements were made with Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home.
