Mary Katherine Kerr

Mary Katherine Kerr, age 88, passed away at her home in Gahanna on Friday, July 12, 2013. She was born in Columbus on December 30, 1924 to the late Louis and Ada Sindel. She was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church in Gahanna. She lived on the family farm until she graduated from high school, that family farm is now the Foxboro neighborhood in Gahanna. Mary graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School, Class of 1942 and went to work for State Farm Insurance and then Nationwide Insurance. She also worked for CVS Pharmacy for 26 years, until her retirement. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Kerr and her brother, Melvin Sindel. She is survived by her son, Robert L. Kerr; grandchildren, Thomas R. Kerr of Gahanna and Samantha Lee (Kerr) Watson of Port Charlotte, Fl. Mary was also a devoted aunt, great aunt, and great-great aunt. She will be missed by her family and many friends. Friends may call from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Tuesday , July 16, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd) Gahanna. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 10:00am at Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clark State Rd, Gahanna, OH. Pastor Dwight Hedrick officiating.
