

Mary E. (Wengert) McDaniel, 98, began her journey of life, May 1, 1914 and peacefully passed into the hands of God on Saturday, September 22, 2012. Proceeded in death by husband, John W. McDaniel, parents, Bert and Bertha Wengert, sister and brother-in-law, Fannie and Sheldon Francis, sister-in-law, Lucille Wengert, son-in-law, Raymond E. Moore, niece, LaVonne Hoffman, infant grand-daughter, Amanda Louise McDaniel, and great-grand daughter, Taylor Glonek. Survived by daughters, Deanna Glonek and Patricia Moore; son, Gerald (Diane) McDaniel; grand children, Catherine (Tim) Drolet, Mark (Janet) Glonek, Robert Glonek, and John (Beth) McDaniel; great-grand-children, Stephanie (Boone) Campbell, Gabriel Drolet, Patrick Glonek, and David McDaniel; great-great-grandson, Calder Campbell; brother, Claude Wengert; and several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School, Class of 1932 where she was a star basketball player and acquired the name of “Flash”. She was a member of Pathway (Evangel Temple) Church and was affectionately known as “Grandma Mary”. Mary retired from the F & R Lazarus Company. She was an avid sports fan and loved her garden and helping others when called upon. Family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Pathway Church, 817 N. Hamilton Rd., where family will also receive friends from 12 P.M. until time of service. Officiating Pastors, Michael Smith, Larry Bates, and Gene Speich. Interment Jefferson Cemetery, Blacklick, Ohio.
