MARY ANN NEFF

Mary Ann Neff, 78, of Circleville, passed away Monday, October 11, 2010 at Pickaway Manor. She was born December 1, 1931, in Circleville, the daughter of the late Paul Noble and Dorothea M. (Thomas) Woodward. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Neff; and niece, Jennifer Moss. Mary Ann worked at General Electric for 10 years and then went to work as a cook at Circleville High School where she retired after 20 years. She attended Emmanuel United Methodist Church and in the past had helped serve dinners there as well as at the American Legion. Mary Ann was always active, planting flowers and tomatoes and working jigsaw puzzles during her downtime. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them. A devoted mom and loving grandmother, she will be missed by her children, Tim (Edie) Strawser and Annette Strawser; grandchildren, Nathan (Tammi) Strawser, Jeremy Strawser, Heather M. Parsons and Brittany L. Smith; great-grandchildren, Ava and Tatum Strawser; brother, Donald (Jo Ann) Woodward; nephews Mike (Darlene) Woodward, Chris (Rojanne) Woodward; niece, Debbie Williams; and the father of her children, Edward “Yock” (Darlene) Strawser, A Memorial Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 6pm until the time of the service.
