

Mary was born on March 30, 1939, in Findlay, Ohio, to the late Gerald and Mildred Lavonne (Marquart) Hoile. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William, on January 5, 2018, and she will be interred with him at Dayton National Cemetery.
Additionally, she was predeceased by brother-in-law John Robert Roach.
Mary is survived by her daughters Cynthia Ann (David) Larvie and Christina Marie Roach (Jeff Cook); grandchildren Sara Elizabeth, Lauren Elizabeth, and Samantha Marie; sisters Alice (David) Naito and Margaret (Robert) Thomas; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mary graduated from Findlay High School in 1957. She earned her BA in physics and education from Mary Manse College of Toledo in 1961. She was an Omicron Chapter member of Alpha Delta Kappa Honorary Teachers Sorority for over 50 years. Mary began her math and science teaching career at Upper Arlington School District and retired from Gahanna Jefferson School District, with over 50 years of teaching experience. Mary was a lifelong member of St. Matthew's. She was active in Women's Club, played euchre and hearts, became a band and dance mom for her daughters, enjoyed being on the kitchen staff at CAMP, and loved traveling to spend time with family.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8PM with a 3:30PM rosary service on Friday, November 2, 2018, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM Saturday, November 3, 2018, at St. Matthew's Church, 807 Havens Corners Rd, Gahanna.
Interment will be at Dayton National Cemetery, Monday, November 5, 2018, at 10:15AM.
