Mary Elizabeth Schultz, December 27, 1913-October 13, 2017. Born and raised in Richmond, IN, the only child of George and Mabel Kauper. Graduated high school (Richmond) and college (Capital University-Bexley, OH). Met her future husband (George) at Capital while both participated in plays and musicals. Lived in Bexley, OH, Minneapolis, MN, San Antonio, TX, and then back to Bexley. Traveled the world with her husband of 54 years (Her most memorable destination was Papua New Guinea). Her legacy is so much more than listing "survived by…." Mom gave of herself and, along with Dad, raised three children to be thoughtful, caring, generous and self-sufficient individuals. For that we say, Thank you, Mom. We hope we passed your legacy of love onto our children. She loved seeing and hearing about the achievements and exploits of her four grand- and three great-grandchildren. So much more could be said about her strong faith, her love of flowers and more. But we leave it with this. A year ago mother stated, in an interview for a newspaper article, that she had lived a long, full, satisfying life and had no regrets. Over her life, she worked to provide a comfortable, loving and welcoming home for family, for friends, and, very importantly, for Jesus. Love, Gretchen, John and Doug. A funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church, 2314 E Main St, Bexley, OH 43209, where friends may call from 10 am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Helotes, TX. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church Quilters. Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger East Chapel.
