Mary Alice Weaver

Mary Alice Weaver, age 80, passed peacefully at her niece's home Wednesday, June 22, 2016. She was born November 26, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ralph "Leon" and Christina (Bezold) Lambert. She was a member of the Sisters of Saint Francis of Joliet, IL. Her name given to her was Sister Maristelle which means star of the sea. Mary Alice taught primary grades in several schools in Illinois. She also worked for the Ohio National Guard and retired from the Federal Finance Center. She was a devoted and selfless wife, mother, and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Weaver; son, Nicholas Weaver; brothers, Donald and John Lambert; and sister, JoAnne Stewart Welker. Mary Alice is survived by her special nieces, Mary (Brian) Collins and Virginia (Larce "Larry") Thompson; and many other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday. Entombment St. Joseph Cemetery.
