

Mary Jo was a lifelong resident of Dayton Ohio until 2012, when she moved to Columbus, Ohio.
Mary Jo Wolters graduated from Fairview High School in 1943 and Ohio Wesleyan University with a BA in Education in 1947, and received a Masters in Education from Wright State University in 1976. She taught in the Dayton school system for 22 years before retirement.
Mary Jo was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church. Mary Jo was an active life member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and their Dayton alumnae. Mary Jo was an usher for the Victoria and Schuster theaters in Dayton for over 20 years.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents, C. Clark (Bud) and Virgina (Bright) Buvinger and by her brother David Buvinger.
Mary Jo was the proud mother of John (Carol) Wolters, Scott (Beth) Wolters and Martha (Michael) Patton. She was the proud grandmother of Wendy Wolters Hinshaw (Jeremy), Brian Wolters (Rosario), Brandon Wolters, Adam Wolters, Kathleen Patton Rizer (Patrick), Bridget Patton (Mark Chaffee Ndze Losha), Hugh Patton and Patrick Patton. She was the great-grandma of Hannah, Nathan, Amelia, Dominick, Jack, Finbarr and Abigail.
She enjoyed all of her new friends at Claremont Retirement Village, her home since 2012.
Her Memorial Services & Celebration of her Life, will be held at 2pm, Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Linworth United Methodist Church, 7070 Bent Tree Blvd, Columbus, OH 43235.
Additional service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 1001 Harvard Blvd, Dayton, OH 45406 on December 19 at 2:00pm with reception following.
