

Mary “Whaley” Workman, age, 66 passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 4, 2010. She was born June 23, 1944 in Matewan, West Virginia to the late Grover and Martha Whaley. Mary was a kind hearted person with a gentle spirit, who “never met a stranger.” Her family and friends will truly miss her love and companionship. She was a devoted wife, mom, and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will forever be missed by her loving husband of 28 years, Dan. She is preceded in death by her brother, Tom Whaley. She is survived by her children, Lori Doring, Tammy (Henry) Stephens, Tracy (Teresa) Workman, and Angie Koah; brother, Charlie (Carol) Whaley; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; and several nieces. Family will receive friends from 6:30pm to 7:00pm, Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where a memorial service will be held following at 7:00pm.
