Born on March 14, 1968, in Charlottesville, Virginia, Matt was the beloved son of the late Caroline (Broun) Crispin and Howard Crispin, Jr. He was a self-taught IT specialist and held positions with several companies including UVA Recycling, Domino’s Pizza, Sun Microsystems/Oracle, and JP Morgan Chase. The past 6 years, Matt served as VP Lead Solutions Analyst for the Service Now Team at Chase.
Matt enjoyed gaming, bird watching, hanging out with family, and delving into history, archaeology, geology, and meteorology. He also served in the Stuarts Draft, VA area and Denton Co, TX CERT teams, and was a trained NWS SKYWARN storm spotter.
Matt's kind, generous, fun-loving, and selfless personality and actions were a blessing to all who knew him! He will be sorely missed!
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Matt is survived by his sisters, Frances Underhill Crispin and Susan Harris (Crispin) Earman (and her husband, Rush Earman III; and their son, Rush Earman IV and his wife Carly (Jones) Earman and their sons, Rush Earman V and James Earman.); his half-brother, Howard Joseph Saxion and his wife, Darcelle "Darcy" (Miller) Saxion.
An Orthodox Trisagion service will be held graveside at 9:30 am July 1, 2025, at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N. High St., Lewis Center, OH 43035 with Fr. Demetrios Gardikes officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests making a donation, in Matt's memory, to a local trusted charity of your choice, especially those helping children or victims of natural disasters.
