Matthew Keith Dotson

Matthew Keith Dotson, 16 of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, December 2nd. He was born in Columbus, but told everyone he was from Cleveland. He loved that area, the lake and the Cleveland Browns. Matt was a charismatic, kind and caring young man who loved his family and friends. He was the kind of person you would be proud to say was your son, brother, grandson, cousin or friend. He enjoyed traveling and spending time on the boat at Lake Erie, where he enjoyed many of his favorite activities like wakeboarding and fishing. He had a passion for sports and was a talented snowboarder and wake boarder. Matt was a Dublin Coffman JV quarterback and helped lead the JV team to a winning season. Along with football, Matt played basketball and baseball. He played third baseman for the Dublin Coffman Freshman OCC championship team. Matt enjoyed playing sports and spending time with his friends, but most of all he loved hanging out with his family. To know him was to love him. We all love him and will miss him dearly. Preceded in death by his grandfather James Bellinger, Matthew is survived by his father and mother, Keith and Debbie Dotson of Dublin; brothers Johnny and Mark of Columbus; grandmother Doris Bellinger, grandparents Claude and Barbara Dotson; great grandfather Harold (Monk) Raesler; uncles Jim (Darlene), Doug (Angie), Scott (Mindy) Bellinger; aunt Cristal (Joe) Foreman; cousins Jimmy, Justin, Scotty, Lauren, Jack and Christian Bellinger, Cole and Colin Foreman.

Family will receive friends Friday December 5, 2014: 2:30-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 at St. Brigid of Kildare, 7179 Avery Rd, Dublin, Ohio, where Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Saturday. Celebrant Msgr. Joseph Hendricks. Interment Jerome Cemetery. Arrangements by Schoedinger Worthington Chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.Schoedinger.com.
