

Matthew "Scott" Hatfield, age 42, passed away peacefully surrounded by his dear family on May 16, 2021. Scott was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 22, 1979 to his parents, Paula and Richard Hatfield. He was preceded in death by his loving pup, Llyod; grandfather, Robert B. Henry; grandmother, Anna M Hatfield; grandmother, Betty Alford; grandfather, Paul D Alford; and Jack Moore. Scott is survived by his grandmother, Lois M Henry; the love of his life, Vicky Mulholland; his parents, Paula and Richard Hatfield; sisters, Lisa (Bruce) Hostetler and Angela (Bill) Marthey; his uncle Charles (Kelley) Alford; cousin, Troy Alford; nieces, Kaela Marthey and Abigail Hostetler; nephew, Alex Hostetler; additional loving family, Katie Riley, Shirley, Jim, Joey (Suzanne), Michael (Jade), Christopher (Sandy), Willie, Jack, Caleb, Chasity, Brynn, Sloan, Calen, Ellie, and Patrick. Scott was a selfless individual. He had a passion for boating, camping, and being outside. He played baseball in high school and was an avid fan of the sport. He was a caring soul and always put everyone else before himself. Scott loved his Ohio State Buckeyes, shopping, eating, playing various games with family and friends, and watching his favorite shows on TV, which included Chicago Med. He loved to create through the art of Woodworking. He will always be remembered as a man who never complained and remained positive even in his darkest times. He will be deeply missed by everyone who was blessed enough to know him. Family will receive friends on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 4pm-6pm at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085 where a funeral service will be held at 6pm promptly. Pastor Tom Tucker officiating. There will be a livestream of the service available for those who are unable to attend in person. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Scott's family for the expenses of services. A private inurnment will take place at Glen Rest Memorial Estates at a later date.
