Mattie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed gardening and had a strong personality.
In addition to her parents, Mattie was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Rivers.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Eddie Rivers, Charles (Jackie) Johnson and Colleen (Larry) McDanel; granddaughters, Blair Hilliard and Ebony Tidmore; and grandson, Charles Cody.
