

Maycel G. Johnson, age 85, of Columbus Ohio, passed away Thursday December 17th, from natural causes. Born July 5, 1935, in Martin’s Ferry Ohio to the late William and Sarah (Wickham) Baker. She lived in Akron, Ohio for the majority of her life and raised her five sons before retiring from Babcox & Wilcox in Barberton. After retirement, she moved to Daytona Beach, Florida where she lived for 20 years near her brother and sister. She then returned to Columbus, in 2005 and was a devote member of the Fishinger & Kenny Church of Christ. Preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters, dear daughter-in-law Geradline (2018) and her beloved twin son, Kelvin J. Johnson (2007). She is survived by four sons, Dean (Sally) of Pickerington, Ohio, Darryl of Orlando Florida, David (Robin) of Orlando, Florida, Kevin of Dallas, Texas, a brother Wilbur Baker and a life-long friend and sister-in-law- Jean Baker of St. Clairesville. She has six grandchildren, Ashley, Michael, Audrey, Brittaney, Bryce, and Bradly, six great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of Eastern Star Lorraine Chapter No. 1 and the Gillies Recreational Center. Friends and family may call Tuesday December 22, 3pm-5pm, at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 6699 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. In addition, visitation will occur at Holly Memorial Gardens Cemetery Chapel, from 10am-11am, Wednesday, December 23 with services and internment immediately following, 73360 Pleasant Grove, Colerain, Ohio 43916.
