Melinda Sue Hartman

Melinda Sue Hartman, age 74 of Bexley, died Monday, November 25, 2013 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Melinda was born in Columbus, OH on November 26, 1938, the daughter of Elsie Elizabeth (Richards) and Ronald David Culbertson, who both preceded her in death. She graduated from Bexley High School in 1956 and attended The Ohio State University. Melinda was an Administrative Assistant for the Columbus Bar Association, retiring in 2008 with 28 years of service. She enjoyed antiques, traveling and decorating. Melinda also was an avid reader and “action movie” buff. Above all else, her family was close and dear to her heart. Melinda is survived by her son Todd (Rebecca) Hartman; her grandson Maxwell Hartman; brothers Ronald (Sally) Culbertson, Jr. and Richard (Patty) Culbertson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call 4-7pm Monday, December 2, 2013 at Schoedinger Midtown Chapel, 229 E. State St. Columbus. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Broad Street Presbyterian Church, 760 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215 with Rev. Ann Palmerton officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Central Ohio Diabetes Assn., 1100 Dennison Ave., Columbus, OH 43201.
