Melody Kay Kredel

Melody Kay Kredel, 63, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021. She was born February 20, 1958 in Grove City, Ohio to the late Charles "Bill" and Stella (Bowers) Schulz. She was a graduate of Grove City High School. In her early years of working, she worked for Allen's Milk Company. She most recently worked for National City Bank and then PNC for over 20 years. Melody enjoyed gardening, collecting Hallmark ornaments, and making jewelry. Her family was very important to her and she cherished the time that she was able to spend with them, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her uncles, Bob Bowers, Butch Bowers, and Tom Bowers; and aunts, Jean Purcell and Anna Schulz. Melody is survived by loving husband of 33 years, Kenny Kredel; sons, William "Willie" (Amanda) Kredel and Alen "Michael" (Sarah) Kredel; grandchildren, William "Billy" Kredel and Kenzleigh "Peanut" Kredel; sisters, Melissa (Tony) Boetcher and Joy Thaxton; nephews, Brian Boetcher and Bradly Boetcher; niece, Olivia Thaxton; longtime childhood friend, Connie Shanks; and many other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service celebrating Melody's life will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2021 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 3220 Columbus St., Grove City, Ohio 43123.
