Michael Timothy Bratka

Michael T. Bratka, age 56 of Columbus, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018. Mike was born and raised in Upper Arlington, Ohio, son of Phyllis Bratka and the late James Bratka. Mike graduated from Upper Arlington High School, Class of 1980 and went on to attend The Columbus College of Art and Design. He enjoyed his profession as a Realtor and worked with HER Realty throughout his career. Previously, Mike would volunteer yearly with the Hilliard Arts Festival. He enjoyed photography, the outdoors, and spending time with his favorite granddaughters. He will be greatly missed by his wife with whom he shared 31 years with, Sandy Bratka; mother, Pyllis Bratka; step-children, Otto "Biz" (Shelly) Breniser IV, Brianne "Oscar" (Rebecca) Breniser, Catherine (Josh Bowers) Breniser, and Benjamin Breniser; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brothers, Joseph (Dan) Bratka, James (Debbie) Bratka and their children, Terry Bratka, and Dave (Jennifer) Bratka and their daughters; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Family will receive friends from 4-6 P.M. Monday, February 5, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where a funeral service will begin at 6 P.M. Monday.
