Michael Vance Dillingham, 53, passed away at home from a heart attack in his sleep on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. He was born in Cleveland, OH to David O. Dillingham and Anna (Osborne) Means on July 27, 1965. Michael is going to be missed for his laughter, ongoing jokes and hysterical one-liners. He truly lit-up a room. He could always be found in the kitchen cooking one of his amazing home cooked meals. Thanksgiving won't be the same without Michael's one-of-a-kind Thanksgiving gravy that he was so proud of. He was always up for an adventure and many of those included rock climbing (he climbed Devil's Tower), white water rafting, motorcycle excursions and he loved outdoor camping. His smile and caring personality will be missed by so many. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred and Virgie Osborne; step-father, Robert Means, nephew Scott "Trace" Blankenship and Lawrence Wolfe. Left to carry on Michael's legacy are his mother, Anna M. (Osborne) Means; sister, Shelley (Steve Harshbarger) Cottrell; brother, Rodney (Beth) Wolfe; step-siblings, Laura K. (Chuck) Robinson and JR Wolfe; nephews and nieces, Scott (Jeni Renninger) Blankenship, Andrea Cottrell, Austin Wolfe, Brooklyn Wolfe and Emma Blankenship; his aunts, uncles and several cousins; Michael's beloved dog and faithful companion Beauregard, along with many friends spread across the country. Family will welcome friends, Friday, October 5, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger 151 E Main St. Circleville. A graveside service will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Reber Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in honor of Michael may be made to Nationwide Children's Hospital https://www.nationwidechildrens.org/giving.
