Michael Dwight Hartmus

Michael lived an adventurous life filled with traveling, boating, and skiing, but his greatest adventure was raising his two children, Erica Nicole and Zoltan Jackson alongside his late wife Edie. Michael was a longtime employee for IBM before retiring to pursue his hobbies and spend more time with his family. Michael enjoyed baking for friends and loved ones, reading, and working on cars and computers.

Michael will be greatly missed by his children, Erica and Zoltan, his mother, Connie, his sister-in-law, Judy, his niece and nephew, Jessica and Joe, his mother-in-law, Anna, and the remainder of the large Hartmus family. Michael will also be missed by his many friends and members of the community.

Michael was proceeded in death by his wife, Edith Theresa Nemeth Hartmus, his father, Ed Hartmus, his sister, Michelle Hartmus, his brothers-in-law, Oscar and James, and his father-in-law, Zoltan Nemeth.

Open visitation will be held at Schoedinger Northwest on February 4, 2026 from 2 to 4pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity in the family’s honor.
