

Michael Mohr Jentgen, age 59, of Upper Arlington, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday February 1, 2021. Michael was a graduate of Bishop Watterson High School. Michael was a people magnet and was loved by everyone he came in contact with because of his unique, playful and joyful spirit. He was one of a kind and a loyal friend. Michael had an extra sensitive heart that was evident by how strongly he empathized with those who hurt or suffered. Michael was also a passionate fisherman and loved his biannual trips to Florida where he fished the Gulf of Mexico with his brothers, nephews and his father. Michael was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Emily Mohr Jentgen. He is survived by his father, James J. Jentgen, and stepmother, Kristina Tomblin Jentgen of Naples, Florida, and Ostrander, Ohio; brothers, Jeffrey Jentgen of Panama City, Panama, Philip and Nicole Jentgen (Emily and Jack) of Naples, Florida, and Karl (Fritz) and Kristin Jentgen (Tatum and Finn) of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Lisa Jentgen Coker (James and Taylor) of Naples, Florida, and Kristin (DeeDee) Jentgen of Columbus, Ohio; and many other cousins and dear friends. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Guests are required to wear masks and attendance will be monitored to ensure safety for everyone attending. Michael will be laid to rest at a private cemetery at the family’s farm.
