

Michael R. Kilroy, U.S Army Vietnam War Veteran, age 71, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday September 22, 2021. He was born November 22, 1949, in Oak Park, Illinois to the late George and Virginia Kilroy. He retired from driving a dump truck where he was known as “Flapper”. He also worked at Columbus Auto Parts for 17 years. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Cheryl Kilroy, children; Michael (Kandie) Kilroy Jr., Timothy Kilroy, Erik (Denise) Kilroy, Beth (Sarah Hayes) Baird, and DuWayne (Jessica) Baird, grandchildren; Marissa, Audrey, Becca, Lillie, Michael, Dallis, Kadence, Memphis, Liam, Arya, and Ella, great granddaughter, Lilliana, and nephew, Chris Nuzum, along with other dear family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, sister, Linda Kilroy Nuzum. Michael adored his family and loved devoting time for everyone. He loved going to car races and had a passion for cars and would often spend time with his sons working on them. Michael was an avid Buckeye fan and there was never a game that went by that he could not have helped the coaches. He also really enjoyed fishing. Michael was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post 283 of Pickerington, and a proud member of AA for 35 years. He was a bright presence in people’s lives and will be missed deeply.
