He was born March 25, 1951, in Akron, Ohio to J. Richard and Roseann (Richmond) Morrison. He is survived by his wife of nearly 20 years, Sarah; daughter Cassandra (Christopher Williams); sons Brian and John; grandchildren Zachary and Abigail; mother Roseann; brother Clay; sister Nancy (Donald Devine); his niece and nephews; in-laws Mary Jane and The Reverend Mr. Paul Daggett and brother-in-law Mark Daggett.
He was a graduate of Walsh Jesuit High School in Akron, Muskingum University, and Capital University Law School. Mike was a highly respected lawyer and lobbyist, and was dearly loved by his family, clients, and his many friends; he will be missed by all who knew him. Mike was particularly proud of the fact that he was a member of the Board of Bar Examiners for 20 years, and that he was chairman of that board for a record eight years. Mike loved golf, snow skiing, good wine, and was an excellent cook.
He asked that his family and many friends come to a Celebration of Life at Jefferson Country Club to remember the great food, wine, golf and kinship that he shared with all of you over the years. The Celebration will be held on April 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. No flowers.
Please consider a contribution in Mike’s memory to Ohio Rottweiler Rescue, P.O. Box 695, Sunbury, OH 43074 or to the Mt. Carmel Foundation, 6150 East Broad Street Columbus OH 43213-9924 in his memory.
