Michael Wayne Sargent

Michael Wayne Sargent, 59, of Gahanna, Ohio traded the pain and sorrows of this world for a heavenly life of peace, comfort and joy on February 15, 2019. No longer bound by the pain and sorrows of the flesh, he is now free and experiencing the unlimited love of Christ his Savior. Mike was a graduate of Gahanna-Lincoln High School, Class of '77 and worked for Columbus Department of Sewer and Drains. He loved learning… and was very passionate about cooking, cars and music. Mike is survived by his only son, Jeremiah, whom he cherished and loved deeply, as well as his mother, Shirley Sargent, who loved him beyond measure. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Hershal Sargent and now joins him in eternity. In addition, Mike is survived by his siblings, Sheila (Ron) Swiger, Steve (Susie) Sargent, Melissa (Danny) Wade, Terre (Mike) Keel and Tonn (Sandy) Sargent; numerous beloved nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. The family would also like to express their gratitude and love to Shay Catanzaro for all of her help and support.
