Mikee Anne Hoy

Mikee Anne (Soliday) Hoy, 77 years old from Galloway, Ohio (January 27, 1934-January 27, 2011). After a courageous 3 year battle with cancer, Mikee passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus. Mikee was born and raised in Thurston, Ohio and graduated from Liberty-Union-Thurston High School. Mike retired from AT&T, Columbus, after 30 years of service. Mikee was the beloved wife of Jim for 36 years. Mikee will forever be remembered by her treasured brother, Jack (Donna) Soliday; beloved niece and nephews, Jackie (Keith) Jackson of Collins, Ohio, Mike (Teri) Soliday of Baltimore, Ohio, Mark (Darcy) Soliday of Pleasantville, Ohio; and stepson Craig (Cathryn) Hoy of Columbus, Ohio along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Mikee was a member of the Thurston United Methodist Church, Thurston, Ohio. Mikee loved giving to others. She enjoyed watching sports on television with Jim, feeding the birds and wildlife from her patio and following the activities of her great nieces and nephews. Mikee was a loving wife that loved to shop. Mikee touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff of Mt. Carmel West Hospital Palliative Care Unit. A celebration of life will be held at the Thurston United Methodist Church at 1:00PM on February 6, 2011. The church is located at 2015 Main Street, Thurston, Ohio. Donations may be sent to the Thurston United Methodist Church in her memory.
