Mildred Judith Bruce-Palmateer, 89, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021. She was born March 28, 1932 in Dover, New Jersey to the late John and Judith (Stenman) Larsen. Mildred was a Nazarene pastor's wife for 42 years, was an elementary school teacher, musician, choir director, Sunday School teacher, and gracious hostess to visiting missionaries and evangelists. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Rev. John Bruce and Eldon Palmateer; and sister, Ruth Peer. Mildred is survived by her children, Linnea (Calvin) Towne, Melanie (Rev. Ben) Walls, and J. Paul (Connie) Bruce; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
