Mildred A. "Micky" Downey

Mildred A. "Micky" Downey, age 102, formerly of Columbus passed away peacefully at Willow Place in Newberg, Oregon. Micky was born in Perry County, Ohio on May 22, 1914 to William and Goldie (Berry) Wiggins. She was a wonderful homemaker and opened her home to many children which she cared for over the years. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delos H. Downey; son-in-law, John Bowman; brothers, William A., Albert and George Wiggins and sister, Mae Wiggins. Survived by her daughter, Shari Bowman; granddaughter, Anne Marie Bracco; great-grandchildren, Gino and Luciana Bracco; sister, Ruby Wiggins; many other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Sunday, September 25, 2016 at West Broad Church of the Nazarene, 7430 W. Broad Street, Galloway, Ohio 43119 where funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm with Rev. Wayne Beard officiating. Interment 10:00 am Monday, September 26, 2016 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL.
