

Mildred Freeman Martin was born in Chicago, Illinois to Salonia Price and James Davis. She moved to California where she worked for the postal service and subsequently the Federal Government. While living in Los Angeles, California she met James Freeman, her beloved husband of over twenty years. With that union they shared 5 wonderful children. After James’s passing Mildred was once again blessed by God to later meet and wed another amazing man Arthur Martin of over twenty years which resulted in 3 amazing children. She leaves behind eight children, one special son, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, great nieces, great-great nieces, nephews , great nephews and great-great nephews. She worked for the federal government for some thirty years, and amassed some great friendships. Mildred was an avid bowler (Ladies Of Excellence) and Keno player. She was also known for her support and the love of her family. She is survived by one sister Loretta Apt, God-Sister Raydelle Matthews; two brothers Melvin (Sharon) Price of Chicago, Illinois and Ronald (Cassandra) Price of Chicago, Illinois. She leaves behind her best friend of over thirty-two years Faye Beckett. Mildred also leaves behind a host of family and friends.
