Mildred Jean Powell, age 84, of Columbus, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010. She was born on November 19, 1925 in Nelsonville, Ohio to the late James and Winona Colbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Powell; and 10 siblings. Survivors include her children, James Powell, Joseph (Alice) Powell, and John Powell; grandchildren, Aleka (husband Ty), Tiffany, and Shavone; great grandchildren, Mosaiah, Myra, and Faith; and a host of family and friends. Mildred will be remembered as a loving mom, grandma, and wife.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 1:00PM-7:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER CLEVELAND AVE CHAPEL 2741 Cleveland Ave. Graveside services will be held at Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave, Columbus, Ohio, Thursday March 11, 2010 at 11:00am.
