

Mildred “Thompson” Wheeler, age 98, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010 at Columbus Colony Elderly Care. She was born on June 11, 1912 to the late Harrison and Lena Allison. Mildred was a proud stay at home Mom, who had a deep love for her family. Her family will truly miss her gentle spirit, lovely smile, sense of humor, but most of all her love. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Barnet Thompson; second husband, George Wheeler; daughters, Carolyn Howard, Donna Jean Thompson, and Kay Anderson. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Charles) Moore; brother, Russell (Betty) Allison; son-in-law, Carl Anderson; grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Sherry, Christy, Lori and Leanne; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Columbus Colony Elderly Care and Odyssey Hospice for the care and kindness given to our Mom. Friends may call from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL 5554 Karl RD. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, November 17, 2010.
