Millard "Bud" Shannon

Millard "Bud" Shannon, 86, of Gahanna, Ohio passed away peacefully September 17, 2021. He was born November 25, 1934 in Columbus to the late Harry and Georgia (Duty) Shannon. Bud served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the American Legion/VFW Post 4719 as well as Am Vets. He worked as a Brakeman with the Norfolk and Southern Railroad and later was employed by APCO Industries. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 64 years, Marie "Annette" (Hensley) Shannon; children, Linda (Jeff) Patrick, Edward (Kimberly) Shannon, Rodney (Saundra) Shannon and Gary (Michelle) Shannon; grandchildren, Jenna Shannon, Stephanie Patrick, David (Olivia) Shannon, Austin Shannon, Abigail Shannon and Allison Shannon; great-grandchildren Kian, Josie and Natalee; nieces Cindy Jerse and Pamela Shannon along with her son Fulton Skrobarczyk; cousin Shirley Burnum. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1pm Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Mifflin Twp. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: www.honorflightcolumbus.org.
