Millicent Lou Starkey passed away on July 22, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She joins her husband Thomas, who passed away on March 29, 2006. They met when they were both working at Shoemaker Rental. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Thelma Knox Loring.
Millie leaves her children and grandchildren to cherish her memory; son Richard Starkey; daughters Michele (Rick) Littler, Stephanie Starkey; step daughter Tonda Starkey; and grandchildren: Alayna, Codi, and Owen; along with her cousins; Louann Knox and Jackie (Patsy) Knox; and many friends she has met along the way.
Millie was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her children, and caring for her family. She showed her love through cooking, and was known for her scrambled eggs. Millie’s warm personality and smiling face allowed her to ‘never know a stranger’. An avid sports fan, she cheered on her Ohio State Buckeyes, the Dallas Cowboys and the Cincinnati Reds. “Go Bucks”!
Millie modeled, babysat, was a cheerleader, worked as a dental assistant, enjoyed bowling and was a member of the PTA at Oakland Park Traditional School. Most of all she cherished her role as Wife, Mother and Gram. And she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her life will be remembered with a Funeral Service to be held at 10:00am, Monday, July 29, 2019 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH FUNERAL HOME, 5554 Karl Road. Visitation will be held from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, Sunday at the Funeral Home. Pastor Larry Hall officiating. Interment at Otterbein Cemetery.
