Milton Hord Price

Milton H. “Milt” Price, age 93, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Kobacker House. He is preceded in death by his parents; Adam and Thelma Price, his first wife, Marion Price Evans, son, Milton Russell “Rusty” Price, daughter, Margaret Adkins, grandson, Aaron Adkins, stepdaughter, Jessica Beckner, sister, Naomi Gildow, brothers, Adam Price and John Price. Milt is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Ayris, daughter, Diane Dobbins, and foster daughter April (Bernard “Bernie”) Gutter, stepdaughter, Elizabeth (Rob) Oberlander, grandchildren, David (Chris) Dobbins, Brandon (Shelley) Dobbins, Angela (Chris) Gunderson, Ryan (Donna Parker) Dobbins, step grandchildren, Andy Horner and Lydia (Chad) Shark; brothers, Richard (Karen) Price, Ronald Price and Sylvan Price. Milt served our Country in the Air Force. He missed serving overseas because they didn’t have boots for him. He retired from the City of Columbus working in Code Enforcement. Milt was one who did not like to sit still. He always seemed to have more than one job. Among others, he worked for Refiners Transport, TWA airlines and Quick Air Freight. Milt was a member of the American Legion Post 144, Eagles 3261, AMVETS, VFW and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed ballroom dancing with Ayris, carving things out of driftwood, and gardening. He enjoyed spending time in his backyard because it reminded him of a park. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 12-1 pm at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY with funeral service at 1 pm. Entombment to follow at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kobacker House or to Columbus Humane.
