

Mitchell E. Wiggins, 78, of Circleville, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Logan Elm Health Care. He was born February 9, 1934 in Pickaway County, the son of Umbert Clea and Virginia (Garrett) Wiggins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Minnie; and his brother-in-law, James Martens. He was retired from Weaver’s Wholesale Grocery. Mitchell was a lifetime member of the Eagles and enjoyed Euchre, Bluegrass music and tinkering with just about anything and inventing new gadgets. He was known to be a bit ornery, had a joke for every occasion and recorded the weather daily up until the time of his illness. He is survived by his daughter, Debra (Sam) Stonerock of Kingston; grandchildren, Samula (Adam) Moore of Richmondale, Brian (Tina Stevens) Stonerock of Clarksburg, Willie (Amy) Stonerock of Kingston and Shauna Stonerock of Circleville; 15 grandchildren; and sisters, Marvene (Melvin) Harvey and Norma Martens, both of Lancaster; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Green Summit Cemetery, Adelphi.
