Monica Ann Fitzsimmons, age 50, of Columbus, a longtime resident of Wheeling, WV, died Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. She is a graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard H. Fitzsimmons; sister-in-law, Ruth Fitzsimmons; niece, Sara Dudley. She is survived by her daughter, Hilary (Raheem Smith) Fitzsimmons; grandson, Hunter Smith; mother, Dorothy Fitzsimmons; siblings, Kathleen (Ed) Perry, Dave (Barb) Fitzsimmons, Rick Fitzsimmons, Jim (Robin) Fitzsimmons, Mary (Jack) Dudley, Carmel (Joe) Safcsak, Dorothy “Dot” (Steve) Johnson, and John (Angie) Fitzsimmons; many other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 West Broad Street, where friends will be received from 12-2:00 p.m.Thursday.
